FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES
DLVSC provides numerous fundraising opportunities for all players throughout the year.
The most effective fundraising opportunity is to sell program ads/sponsorships for the Las Vegas Mayors Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament. The tournaments are held in October (age 10-15) and February (age 14-18). Ad sales and sponsorship funds will be credited against the responsible players fees at 90% of the dollars raised.
The club also has a Fourth of July Fireworks fundraiser. Players can earn credits against fees by working at the booths or pre-selling fireworks. See the website for additional details and contact Jan Stevens.
Other team specific fundraisers held throughout the year have included golf tournaments, car washes, raffles, and candy sales.
Direct corporate sponsorships are encouraged. DLVSC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all contributions are tax deductible. Many companies have “matching gift” programs available and you are encouraged to involve your employer’s company.
LAS VEGAS MAYORS CUP INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS
Each team is assigned a minimum number of shifts to supply labor and ALL DLVSC parents sign a commitment agreement at registration to work the required shifts. Tournament proceeds are then allocated back to every team in the club (last year’s team allocation ranged from $850 (U6) to $3750 (U18). This year’s tournament allocation for all U15-U18 teams will be used to cover travel/hotel/tournament fees for the Rocky Mountain Showcase and Colorado Rapids training in Denver next June. All other age group teams will receive a tournament allocation toward their soccer-related team expenses.
